The West Point Society of Columbia, SC was founded to foster camaraderie and strengthen ties between West Point graduates, friends, and family members throughout all generations. We take pride in doing our part to shape the next generation of Army officers by assisting the Academy with the identification, and recruitment of potential candidates for admission.

On average, our members have helped with 8-10 admissions on a yearly basis.

We cannot do this without some level of financial support from former graduates within our community. We hold several social events which are pay-as you-go such as our Annual Founders Day, the Army Navy Game event as well as monthly Benny Havens Hour social events. We also manage a regional West Point Leadership Award Program which identifies student leaders in High Schools throughout central South Carolina. This keeps the United State Military Academy option visible to potential candidates. In the past, we have sponsored leadership camps, ethics seminars and other activities towards this end.

We do not collect dues so this appeal is our only annual effort to raise the funds necessary to support our mission. Please consider giving any amount. Donations (West Point Society of Columbia) can be sent by mailing a check to our Treasurer, COL (Retired) Jim Morris ‘1977 at 2438 Monroe Street Columbia, SC 29205.
